The Mt Shasta Church of the Nazarene is pleased to introduce you to our new pastor and his wife, Pastor Brian and Faith Alvarez . They come to us from Redding. They have been in ministry for some time now. Faith has been a minister in music and grew up singing with her family in church. Brian has been in ministry for 30 years in various rolls from Children’s Director, Sunday School Teacher, Pastor of Recovery and Media Director. Our new pastor Brian and his wife, Faith, have ...been married for 20 years. They have 2 grown children, a son, Casey and a daughter, Leila. They have two adorable dogs; one mini Australian Shepherd and the other a shelter rescue that is dachshund/chihuahua mix. They love hiking and various types of outdoor recreation. They also love to travel, mountain gaze and spend time together exploring new places. Pastor Brian felt called to service for the Lord at the age of twenty. He has worked for years as an Engineer Technician for Caltrans. Over the years God has increasingly pulled Brian and Faith to full time ministry. They will begin as bi-vocational and will become full time in the near future. They are very excited to come and be the Pastor of the Mount Shasta Church of the Nazarene. See more

Luke 6:38 38Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. We are encouraged by Jesus to give out... Give out hope, give out peace, give out peace. This is just an example of what we can give. If we do these things without expecting anything in return the same will be poured out into our lap, full and overflowing. For that is how Jesus g...ives, never a little but always an overabundance.
