"For God is not a God of disorder but of peace." 1 Corinthians 14:33 I love watching the kids at camp make something beautiful out of the chaos of color. Likewise when we give control over all the loose ends of our lives He can make something beautiful out of it all.

"But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8 This year started out with a drought, but is ending with an abundance of rain. We are so grateful to the Lord for his provision in all things. We are blessed beyond what we deserve.

How grateful to God we are for the privilege we had to serve campers this summer and share the life giving news of Jesus Christ. Thank you for your partnership in His ministry here at Mt. Gilead. May the Lord Bless you this Christmas with an abundance of His Grace, Comfort and Joy! Our Love to You, Your Friends at Mt. Gilead!

We have been blessed with amazing staff throughout the 35 years we have been at Mt. Gilead. There is a tenacity, strength and fun-loving nature that they bring... to our ministry. At the close of at each camp campers have the opportunity to share how God changed their lives at camp that week. Their testimonies are written on the crosses. Here are a few from this past summer. "God has shown me a way through things I didn't now how to overcome." This week I accepted Christ into my heart. I feel happier and I want to thank Him for all the new friends I made."... "I was in a dark place before I came here. Depression consumed me and I didn't feel loved. But then I came to Gilead and my whole life changed." "He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross." Colossians 2:13b-15 This summer: 133 campers became Followers of Christ 224 campers recommitted their lives to Jesus The Power of the Cross. To God be the Glory!

When the Lord calls you to take on a task like planning a retreat it can be daunting, but how blessed we are when we obey His calling. Tonight, we can rest easy knowing Jesus is in complete control over 2021, something that we can never have. Let us wake up tomorrow with joyful hearts knowing our Savior is the same one who parted the seas, who saved faithful men from burning in a fiery furnace, who raises the dead, and more. Women's Retreat UPDATE: Friends, this has been such a wild ride preparing in the midst of a staggering amount of obstacles. After much prayer, looking at weather and EPA forecasts and speaking with team leaders and the guests we serve, it is with regret we inform you that we need to cancel the Women’s Retreat scheduled for September 12th. We have been praying, as you have, that the smoke would dissipate substantially by tomorrow. But looking at our current situation with n...o guarantee that tomorrow will be greatly different and with the knowledge that some ladies need to travel to get here, it seemed wisest to cancel. We will plan another Women’s Retreat later as the Lord leads. We thank God for His faithfulness, His Love and His Sovereigntyeven when it doesn’t turn out the way we had hoped. Know that you are greatly loved and deeply appreciated, The Mt. Gilead Women's Retreat Team Now may the God of peace [the source of serenity and spiritual well-being] who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood that sealed and ratified the eternal covenant, equip you with every good thing to carry out His will and strengthen you [making you complete and perfect as you ought to be], accomplishing in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. These two wonderfully, dynamic, godly women will be sharing at Women's Retreat about a topic of great importance and interest...prophecy. Their seminar "Night Watch" will enhance your understanding of the authority and veracity of the Scriptures. "Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." 2 Peter 1:20-21

We are so blessed to have Jan Wells, a dear sister and incredible Bible scholar, teacher and author join for Women's Retreat as she leads her very timely seminar entitled, "Our Indispensable Weapon" this Saturday, September 12th!
