Look who's sheltering in place in our cemetery. This is a baby Nuttall's Woodpecker and he's just the cutest! Thanks to our Superintendent Judy Edmonson for her great photo and for taking care of ALL of our residents at Mt. Olivet!

Many thanks to our volunteers who placed flags on the graves of veterans for Memorial Day. One of our loyal volunteers has been doing this every year for the past 5 years, and our friends from Keatons Mortuary were a great help, too! Take time today to remember those who have given their lives.

Although we won't be able to have Memorial Day Masses in our cemeteries this year, we encourage you all to take a moment to remember those who have given their lives in service to our country and to pray for them and all those at rest in our Catholic Cemeteries. If you will be visiting the cemeteries over the weekend, please make sure to wear appropriate face coverings and observe social distancing. Be safe and God bless you!

Please take note of the following updates: 1) Funeral services at the cemetery services are limited to immediate family, and we will be asking those who attend services to practice social distancing. 2) Our staff is available to help you by phone/fax/email. Please call us for an appointment if you need to select a new grave or crypt for your family. 3) If you wish to delay a service for placement of cremated remains, our staff will help you with the planning. Sacred Heart Church in Olema extends a warm welcome to all for its upcoming events honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe: Thursday, December 12: Mañanitas. Singing to the Virgin Mary from 5:00 6:00 am, followed by Mass at 6:00 am, with traditional hot drinks and food afterward. Sunday, December 15: Celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe, starting after 10:30 am bilingual Mass, with the Mariachi de San Francisco, Aztec Dancers, Gilo’s famous tacos, tostadas, and sopes, homemade baked goods, drinks, and a raffle. Admission is free; food and beverages are available for purchase.

Feast of the Assumption Celebration, Tomales Sunday, August 18, 9:30 am 3:30 pm Church of the Assumption of Mary, 26825 Shoreline Highway, Tomales 707-878-2208 Come take part in a fun-filled day celebrating the feast of the patroness of the Church of the Assumption of... Mary. The festivities begin at 9:30; at 12:00 noon there will be a Procession accompanied by horsemen; at 12:15 the consecration of children to the Virgin Mary; and celebration of Solemn Mass at 12:30. Food, drink, and Aztec Dancers will follow Mass. It’s sure to be an enjoyable festival, and all are welcome to attend. Admission is free. Food and beverage tickets can be purchased at the event.
