Mike Adelson, President and CEO (pictured below -- with the first check made out to the business) started the business in his garage/van in 1985 and has never looked back. ... Mr. Plastics has since had a few other locations with the most recent at 844 Doolittle in San Leandro, CA. Over the 35 years, Mr. Plastics has provided excellence in plastic fabrication, distribution, and manufacturing to customers all over the world; with this year providing some of the greatest challenges in business yet! However, Mr. P, has always remained grounded in the face of adversity. There are a few ways to finish a piece of plastic but two of the most popular ways are displayed above. ___ Here we have 1/4 clear acrylic with a deburred edge (left) and a flame polished edge (right). ____ Deburring leaves the edge smooth but with the natural color of a cut piece of acrylic.... Flame polish: is a higher level finish that leaves the acrylic shiny and smooth as seen in the photo.
