It has been a month from the date of her passing. I will be announcing the date for the funeral as soon as the mortuary gives me the date. Words to describe #ShawnaCosby professionally. #Decisive, #Discerning, #Inquisitive, #Intuitive, #Observant, #Resourceful, #Shrewd, #Practical, #Sincere. A Champion, a friend forever.

If you are a coronavirus-affected "gig economy" worker, you get the same benefits as an employee. So, the Uber driver can get the same benefits as a regular employee. In the same vein, those employers who want to keep unemployment premiums down by putting workers on zero hours, knock it off. It should never be allowed and certainly not allowed now. Put employees who are not working on unemployment. The federal government should renew the Emergency Unemployment Compensation pr...ogram so these new benefits don't cost states a dime. The federal government must make an immediate deposit into every state unemployment fund to keep those funds solvent. And this crisis should not be used to increase unemployment premiums for affected businesses. The tax rate should be frozen. To get money into the hands of low-income working Americans, we should double up on the earned income tax credit. For taxpayers who have already filed their 2019 return, cut another check. For our retirees who are living on fixed incomes from social security, small pensions, small dividends, and interest, the federal government should add $500 in additional monthly social security payments. On small business relief, low interest loans and tax relief are meaningless. These businesses do not have taxable income or a tax liability and chances are they are already highly leveraged, and they cannot afford to repay business loans even if it is at no interest. Small businesses need cash now. So use the SBA infrastructure, provide immediate grants, not loans, to small businesses. Give them grants for lost inventory and income. Finally, provide massive relief to the non-profit world that is dealing with the social stress of this crisis. More money for homeless shelters, more money for youth programs, more cash for food programs. Once these things are done you can turn your attention to what, if any, relief should go to the multi-national corporations who got their tax cuts and spent them on stock buy backs.

#Amazon Hiring. 100,000 jobs This is positive news and this type action should be followed by other companies with large numbers of employees Specially companies like #MARSinc PepsiCo #CocaCola #Mondelez Formerly #Kraft #ProcterandGamble #Kelloggs #Nestle these are mega-conglomerate providers of our foods and other need supplies for our daily consumption. We shop their products daily... They may run into production issues and regardless of how much inventory they may have ...in their warehouses, they may also run into logistical problems (warehouse allocation packaging, and delivery) if they do not act and create contingencies to immediately hire and train new employees to replace their workforce. If they do not start NOW the response to orders throughout the nation will be inefficient. That will make them irresponsible, having known the facts... It may be a financial burden to them, but at the end it will raise their stock prices, just by announcing the hiring of new employees and taking the steps to hire and train additional employees. Imaging if they announce the additional hiring of 1/4 of their existing workforce it would send more positive news. See more

#Amazon is hiring... AMAZON IS HIRING #100,000JOBS. This is positive news despite the #GloomandDoom Why?... Amazon plans to hire 100,000 workers to assist with online deliveries in the U.S. and raise their minimum pay to at least $17 an hour through April. USA TODAY Retailers are ramping up hiring for positions ranging from the warehouse to the checkout counter, as delivery and service workers increasingly become indispensable to Americans largely confined to their homes because of concerns about the coronavirus. I also think Amazon is acting responsibly in preparation to higher demand as advertised by the newscast, but I also also believe a greater reason is to hire and train a new-workforce to replace the possible numbers of employees that may need to be quarantine do to the COVID19. Today one of the workers showed positive with #COVID19. #Amazon plan of action by vacating the area sending warehouse workers home to clean and sanitize the entire area. This is a proactive action that really demonstrates a well planned response to the outbreak at their location. The good news for workers is while in quarantine, they will continue to receive their paycheck from Amazon. (3/19/20 newscast)
