In this time of social distancing, the senior population is at a higher risk from the Coronavirus (Covid -19) and are in need of support from the community. Please join MOW Diablo Region by donating any non-food, personal hygiene items: sanitizers, adult diapers, pads, toothpaste, and toilet paper, that we can distribute to our elderly clients. Any donation is greatly appreciated and can be brought to 1300 Civic Dr., Walnut Creek between 9:00 AM through 4:00PM Monday through Friday, and placed in the cooler located in the lobby. If you are not able to donate an item, but still want to help, please consider making a donation or becoming a monthly donor so that we can continue delivering meals to vulnerable seniors. Donations can be made at https://www.mowdiabloregion.org/donate.

When the Covid-19 pandemic began, we knew seniors depended on us so we moved quickly to make sure we didn’t let them down. Meals on Wheels Diablo Region continues to respond, thanks to members of our Monthly Giving Circle https://www.mowdiabloregion.org/monthly-giving-circle who provide us with a source of income we rely on during this ongoing emergency. Life will not be returning to normal anytime soon, and MOW Diablo Region continues to be tested. In fact, we are currently ...facing government budget reductions. To ensure that we can meet the needs of our vulnerable seniors, MOW Diablo Region has again set a challenge to sign up 30 new members of our Monthly Giving Circle in 30 days from November 1st through November 30th. Since Covid-19, MOW Diablo Region has seen a 40% increase in seniors needing delivered meals. As shelter-in-place continues, our Friendly Callers are reaching out to isolated seniors to provide a caring voice. More seniors have also turned to our Care Management team to help them with depression, housing, elder abuse, and other issues. Our vulnerable seniors depend on us. We hope we can depend on your support with a monthly donation any amount helps! Please help us, during this time of crisis, meet the 30 in 30 challenge by becoming a member of the Monthly Giving Circle so that we can meet the need in our community every day. Your help allows us to ensure seniors can remain safely in their homes, with health and dignity. #30for30challenge #MOWdiabloregion

Don’t register just join our sponsor, First Republic Bank in supporting this event and DONATE! #MOWdiabloregion #FirstRepublicBank #NOSHOWGALA Donate here: https://www.mowdiabloregion.org/no-show-gala

National Pumpkin Day falls on October 26th. Pumpkins are so much more than just a fun holiday accessory. Not only are they one of the best-known sources of beta-carotene (an antioxidant converted to vitamin A in the body), but pumpkins are loaded with fiber, potassium, and vitamin C. Pumpkins are also packed with vitamins that can boost your immunity! They are also super fun to carve! Now, who’s hungry? #NationalPumpkinDay #MOWdiabloregion
