Through wildfire and past epidemics, never has the Mount been entirely closed in its history until this past year. The students of the early 1950s, sweating out the polio epidemic, didn’t have smartphones, online classes, Zoom or digital article databases. Today as we wake up to uncertainty in our country we are holding strong to the charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph that calls us to unifying love. Even if our country faces division we can practice the charism in our own lives. We are sharing this prayer by Sr. Clare Dunn, CSJ and Sr. Judy Lovchik, CSJ in hopes that it will bring you some solace and inspiration during this time. Sr. Clare served in the Arizona legislature from 1975-81 and advocated for individuals living in poverty and undocumented people, among many other important issues. Sr. Judy served as Sr. Clare's campaign manager and legislative aide during her time in office. Sr. Clare and Sr. Judy exemplified the CSJ charism as they worked diligently to promote unity and reconciliation. @msmu.csjinstitute
