The June Lake Winter Festival is ON this Saturday, Feb. 21 at Gull Lake Park. Festivities begin at 11am and everything is FREE and FUN, including the Fun Run Bi...athlon! Here's the schedule of events: 11:00am - Dusk: Face-painting, Sand Sculptures, Fat Tire Bike Demos, Kids' Strider Balance Bike Demos, food vendors, and more! 11:00 - 11:45am: Registration for Fun Run Biathlon (free!) and Range Practice for Laser Shooting 12:00 noon: Start of the 5K Fun Run Biathlon. (Cross-country skiing has been replaced with running). Format: Run a mile, then target shooting with laser rifle; Run the second mile, then target shooting; Run the third mile, then target shooting, and so on to five mile finish line. 12:30pm: Meet Bucky the Deer, June Mountain's friendly mascot 1:00pm: Start of the 3K Fun Run Biathlon. Format: Run a 6/10 of a mile, then target shooting with laser rifle; Run the second 6/10 of a mile, then target shooting, and so on! 1:00 - 5:00pm: Live music with Lava Moon!
