Congratulations to our Morton Golf Foundation Board Member Kevin Sutherland for today's PGA Tour Champions win at the Cologuard Classic.
More great Good Day Sacramento coverage on our big kids-helping-kids pay-it-forward event at Bing Maloney this past weekend- our 100 Holes of Golf fundraiser.
It took nine (!) playoff holes, but our Morton Golf Foundation Board Member and PGA Tour Champions player Kevin Sutherland just won the Charles Schwab Championship at Phoenix CC on a Monday finish! Congratulations, Kevin!
Here's wishing Morton Golf Foundation Board Member and PGA/Champions Tour winner Kevin Sutherland the best of luck with his five stroke lead in the final round of the Charles Schwab Championship today.
The Morton Golf Foundation was on television along with the wonderful Fidler family talking about our kids paying it forward to help other kids in the Foundation in today's 100 Holes of Golf fundraiser at Bing Maloney Golf Course.

Every year The Morton Golf Foundation Junior Development Grant gives local junior golfers what they need to be able to play in tournaments and foster their love for golf. Recently, one of our board members, Rob Siebers, got to show the impact that he has seen from his perspective. A HUGE congratulations to our MGF President Tom Morton for raising $46,464 for the Morton Golf Foundation. Over the past 3 days he played in the Villara Capital Cup that has become Sacramento's largest fundraising event. 28 Sacramento area community leaders competed in a 3-day Ryder Cup format tournament. His team, the Sactown Scramblers, came in clutch yesterday and won, earning his 14-man team an additional $100k to their charities of choice. Tom had the most amount of single donations- and the 28 players raised over $1.8 million dollars for charity!
The Morton Golf Foundation (MGF) needs your help! Tom Morton, President, is fundraising now and will be playing in the Villara/DCA Capital Cup September 25-27, 2020, where he invites you to contribute to his GoFundMe account that has been set up to help recover some charity dollars. The winning team of the Villara/DCA Capital Cup will be playing for a share of the $100,000 Grand Prize and for every $5,000 MGF raises in advance, Tom earns a mulligan which will help improve his chances of winning the prize money for the Morton Golf Foundation! Sacramento's Big Day of Giving is today. If you're able, consider donating to the Morton Golf Foundation. Funds raised by MGF go to PGA Hope (for our nation's veterans), Special Olympics (for our California Eagles program), college scholarships and many more worthy local charities. You can donate below.
Congratulations to Morton Golf Foundation board member Kevin Sutherland for setting the course record and winning the Principal Charity Classic Champions Tour event today!
This year we were able to raise money for organizations such as St. Jude, Youth for Christ, and several educational scholarships. We appreciate all of the support from 105.1 KNCI the community, and all of the artists that make this event possible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6b5G2jGX6ck #golfandguitars #countrymusic #festival #charity #greatcause #stjude #charityevent #education #scholarships #musicfestival
