Morgan Hill Friday Night Music Series 05.12.2020

We surprised the 2021 Woman of the Year last Friday on her 73rd Birthday! Carolyn Wallace is a woman of profound faith, a professional business connector, known for having a heart of gold, who is deeply committed to seeing Morgan Hill businesses and residents thrive. A 33-year IBM veteran, Carolyn has used very little of her retirement downtime for herself. Instead, she dedicates her time, energy and talent to supporting the business community and enriching the lives of tho...se within Morgan Hill. Carolyn is a familiar face at Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Association, City, SPARK Networking, Senior Advisory Group meetings and more. She has been an active member of the Morgan Hill Bible Church for 35+ years, served on the Wine Walk and Downtown Events committee for 5+ years and been an advocate for business support and connections through the Chamber of Commerce. Supporting the Autistic and Aging communities are two efforts close to her heart; she funded and launched an Autistic Children’s Sunday School Class and is a founding member of the Morgan Hill Aging Council. Carolyn embodies the very definition of a giver; she never asks or expects anything in return. In fact, 100% of the time she offers help before it can even be asked for! We are lucky to have a woman like Carolyn Wallace in our community and it’s high time she was recognized for her behind the scenes contributions! See more

The Celebrate Morgan Hill 2021 Man of the Year is someone who is a fierce advocate of all things Morgan Hill. Whether it’s the Downtown Businesses, Wineries, Tourism, Restaurants, City Planning and Development, this person works hard to support them all. He was a driving force behind the Monterey Lane Reduction, PopUp Park and Big Blue Chair. He is one of the reasons why Morgan Hill Wineries are on the MAP and why a Tourism Organization was created! Morgan Hill Food and Wine ...Week and the Moveable Feast are under his list of Special Event Accomplishments along with his unyielding support of the Spring Bike Classic and AMGEN Tour of CA. This person collaborates and attends meetings with every major local organization including the Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Association, Wineries of Santa Clara Valley, VISIT Morgan Hill and more. He has an inexhaustible love for and drive to see Morgan Hill Thrive. For all of these reasons and more, I am thrilled to announce that the 2021 Man of the Year is...................John McKay! *Watch the video below when we surprised John @ last week's City Council Meeting!
