Let’s welcome back our Friday evening membership drive. Our members have been amazing during these unprecedented times. The board thanks all of you for the continued support and want to welcome you back to Friday night live music inside. This 1st night back in doors will be free of charge but of course all donations to the band will be appreciated. Our friends from Mystery Train will be entertaining us for the night. Moose members...This Friday in keeping with tradition we will meet in the parking lot at 10:30-11:00 for some warmup then biking or driving to Buccaneer beach at noon for a New Years Day plunge. Let’s all help bring in 2021 and make it better than 2020!

January has nearly come to an end. And we realized we never publicly expressed our gratitude to those who made our Toys for Tots a successful endeavor. To our sponsors who opened up their businesses and allowed them to be drop off spots... we couldn’t have done it without you. Well it’s hump day... with quite a few bumps along the way this year. While we are on the continuous learning curve in regards to COVID we find the need to close this Friday. We will be re-evaluating our situation each week and will keep you our valued members updated as we progress through the remainder of 2020. Even though we are closed this Friday we are still continuing our Toys for Tots toy drive. You can drop off at any of the following. Captains Grounds, Anita’s, Privateer, Real Surf Shop and SoCal Bikes. Thank y’all for your support.

Dear Mooselodge Members and our community at large. After discussion with Moose International and our Administration it has been decided to postpone all activities and events at our lodge for the remainder of the month. We feel that it is in the best interest of you our members and those in our community to adhere to the guidelines and mandates of the CDC, Federal, State and local agencies. We would love nothing more than to provide you all a bit of relief from the stress we... are all feeling at this moment...... But our whole reason for being is to be of service to our fellow man and our community. And it would be irresponsible of us to put anyone in a compromised situation. So the decision has been made to close our doors for the remainder of March and we will re-evaluate at that time on how we proceed as well as post updates as they occur. We are in the midst of some unprecedented times. Please remember to be responsible and respectful of your fellow citizens. We urge you all to take the proper precautions to keep yourself and your loved ones safe. And pray for those who have already felt the impact of the situation. We trust everyone had a great Thanksgiving?!Now traditionally for some it’s Dihaoine dubh if you’re into shopping but we prefer to say Dihaoine sona as we plan to enjoy the evening with friends and community. In keeping with our goal to bring local quality we will be introducing Clock Tower Gin and Westside Water Whiskey. These quality spirits produced by Ublendit will be our 2 additions to our community minded spirits. See y’all soon Our outdoor hours will be 4-9ish as we still need to observe local, county and state guidelines.

With college football back in action we have decided to adjust our hours of operation for Saturdays. Starting this Saturday will be open from 12-6. Spicy Pie will be open and ready to serve up some tasty food. We encourage our members and their guests to come in and enjoy.

The weekend is fast approaching and it’s not just any weekend. For most it’s a time for ghosts, ghouls, and scary things that go boo in the night. Since Saturday is Halloween your lodge encourages our members and guests to come check out the haunted Moose. Costumes not required but For those who decide to dress for the occasion you’ll be entitled for some food and drink specials. But no matter come see what we have planned for your enjoyment. It may only Monday but we have some great news to share with our Moose community! As you know we at the lodge we work hard to bring quality to the Moose experience and this includes offerings in our social quarters. We are privileged to have one of the best and notable Tequila distillers as a fellow member. Master Catadore Felipe Soto Mares this year alone has racked up Gold and Double Gold awards and has now been voted one of the best Tequilas in the recent Robb Report. If you want to experience why his tequila wins so many awards then come into your Moose Lodge and ask for some of the Bad Stuff!!

Another Friday night and you just never know what kind of Shenanigans will be happening at your Moose Lodge. Head down grab a bite and a couple drinks and enjoy a beautiful evening!

Attention all fellow Moose duffers We have once again teamed up with our friends from the Odd Fellows for a friendly competition that also helps support local causes. We’ve had a Softball game, we had a pool tournament and now it’s time to hit the links.

Their incredible performances and presence have been the platform which has allowed us to raise a tremendous amount of money to directly aid community ...members facing life threatening medical conditions, to directly support San Diego Special Olympics Athletes and programs, to assist in funding college scholarships for our local Seniors on their way to college and to help us purchase air conditioning for your lodge among a number of other building improvements. Many of you came to the Moose Lodge to see Daring Greatly perform and became Moose Lodge members. Your application fee and yearly dues goes directly to Moose International to fund Mooseheart and Moosehaven.
