Today is National School Bus Safety Week from October 19th- 23rd. School bus transportation plays a critical role in the education of our nation's students, and is the direct link between a neighborhood and the classroom. More than 25 million children ride the yellow bus every school day, and National School Bus Safety Week serves as a reminder for students, parents, teachers, and the community to keep school bus safety in the forefront. Here are tips to keep our children sa...fe at the bus stop. Getting Ready for School -Have your children put everything they carry in a backpack or school bag so they won't drop things along the way. -Encourage them to wear bright, contrasting colors so they will be more easily seen by drivers. - Make sure children leave home on time so they can arrive at the bus stop before it is due, ideally at least five minutes early. Running after or in front of a bus is dangerous.
Here is the WUSD Bus Route for 2020-2021. It is also listed on our website.
Happy Boss's Day Maria!! We think we are pretty lucky to have a Principal like you and we thank you for everything you are doing to prepare for our students coming back for In-Person Instruction next week!

Hey Moon Cubs! This month is full of awesome. Look no further than Mr. A's Chalk-tober where he has been drawing a Halloween chalk drawing for every day in October. Mr. A has been doing chalk since quarantine began back in March. Now he has a bunch of chalk drawings dotted around his favorite places. Maybe you can even find some with your parents'! Like at Beard Park or Brethren Park right here in Waterford. Keep an eye out for more Chalk-tober art and maybe even get out there and do some of your own. Keep on being awesome, Moon Cubs!
Here is a little clip from yesterday in the library with Lieutenant Schwartz celebrating coffee with a cop.
Yesterday we Celebrated Coffee with a Cop and had Lieutenant Shwartz come to the library for story time. He read a book to the kids and answered their questions about being a Cop. It was a lot of fun! Thank you Waterford Police Department for your photos, spending time with us today and protecting our community!
