Although 2020 is a difficult year with the pandemic, but it also brings the Community Better Together. This year, Moonstar and MoonChef supported Self Help for the Elderly once again by preparing the turkeys, gravy, side vegetables, baked potatoes and steamed rice. Volunteers at Self Help carved the turkeys. 2800 Hot Lunches were passed out to needy seniors and families at the Portsmouth Square Plaza and volunteer from SFPD, SFFD and Sheriff’s Office helped with Home Deli...veries. On Thursday, MoonChef and Moonstar joined forces together and cooked 120 turkeys, along with over 3000 lbs of rice, potatoes and vegetables. Our purpose is to support Self-Help Elderly Annual Thanksgiving Luncheon. With the help of over 100 volunteers, turkeys were carved, food were plated neatly and 3000 seniors & families with children were served.
