Today was a homeless encampment cleanup day at Arroyo creek in Livermore. Always a challenging and sensitive task but we want to thank Livermore PD and Pleasanton PD for their outstanding and loving work - ensuring the betterment of everyone involved. Meet Joe: a single dad, taking care of his teenage son. They fell on some hard times due to Covid and job loss, spent their savings on hotel stay and making ends meet. They currently have no home of their own, even though Joe is working again. Most of their income is spent on a rental car (needed for Joe's work) and immediate needs. Our case managers (Craig-pictured) are working on getting Joe and his son a home and a vehicle so they can get back on their feet. They are read...y for their miracle! We want them settled as soon as possible and we need your help!! MIRACLE: Kyle is a sharp young man who became homeless during Covid - we were able to immediately step in and walk alongside him, making sure all his immediate needs are met. We focused on getting him housing and enrolled into a discipleship program. It's so easy to get into destructive behaviors once you're out on the streets, and we didn't want anything bad happening to Kyle. Kyle desires to learn how to be a responsible steward of his job, his income, and how to build a su...stainable life that will positively impact his community. We were able to partner with Arukah House, where he is now housed and enrolled in a program that will teach him finances and responsibilities, while discipling him in God's word. This weekend we celebrated with our social pod of closest supporters, partners and volunteers, the miracles we have seen in this crazy but rewarding 2020! In the midst of Covid we were able to clothe and feed HUNDREDS of our Tri-Valley neighbors, we provided laundry services, hygiene items, held many pop-up outreaches, and most of all - we were STILL able to provide MIRACLES - life changing solutions we bring through $1/month donations to those ready to receive help [housing/...relocation/vehicle aid/homelessness prevention]. Thanks to YOUR support we've saved several of our neighbors from homelessness in the past few months - most for them we've relocated, or placed in housing. Our hearts are full!!!
