We have also seen this trend at our clinic here in Monterey County. "For an entire year now, many aspects of our social lives have been put on hold, but some women continue to feel the pressure of a ticking biological clock especially during a time when people are having children later than ever, and even a year or two can have an effect on fertility." https://www.today.com//fertility-clinics-report-spike-egg-

In this randomized clinical trial that included 2370 couples, the use of folic acid and zinc supplementation by male partners, compared with placebo, did not significantly improve couples’ live birth rates (34% vs 35%, respectively) or semen quality measured 6 months after randomization.

Keeping our patients and community in our thoughts and prayers during these devastating fires. Our clinic remains open off Hwy 68 and we are continuing to keep a watchful eye on the situation. Hoping that all our brave fire fighters stay safe as well and out of harms way. #riverfire #carmelfire #santacruzfire https://www.thecalifornian.com//monterey-count/5615389002/

Dr. Ramirez was featured in an ABC Nightline piece last night on his deployment to NYC during the COVID19 crisis. They were kind enough to interview him as well as three of his colleagues who were part of the task force assigned to the hospitals there. His homecoming to Monterey is at the very end! #USArmyReserve #Nightline https://abcnews.go.com//meet-combat-medics-treat-covid-19-

Sharing Dr. Ramirez's most recent post. He would like his patients to know that he is taking appointments and will begin seeing patients in June. He is proud to have served his country in this battle against COVID19 and aid the citizens of New York City as part of this enormous mobilization of the US Army Medical Reserves. We are proud of him TOO!

Unfortunately, Dr. Ramirez has been called to deploy with his U.S. Army reserve unit to assist in this massive effort to control the spread of COVID-19. We ask for your patience while we reschedule appointments and procedures for June, in hopes that by then, the nation will be able to return to some form of normalcy. He is dedicated to helping in the effort to #slowthespread and assist in providing medical care in this time of crisis. Our office will remain open for scheduling future appointments and prescriptions can be filled. The doctor will be available time permitting, via Skype, for consultations. Thank you for your continued support!

Our center is still open and Dr. Ramirez is seeing patients for the IVF cycles scheduled in the upcoming months. We are following CDC and local Public Health guidelines and screening patients. He would like all to read his blog post regarding the COVID-19 outbreak and the protocol our clinic is following. We welcome you to call with any questions you may have. https://montereybayivf.com/covid-19-update-and-measures-ta/

Greetings and Happy Thanksgiving from Dr. Ramirez at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. His message to all his patients and followers: "I have found the past weeks to be very fulfilling serving as the chief Gyn at the hospital here. The camaraderie and dedication I have witnessed from our staff and the troops stationed here is amazing and an important aspect of serving in the Middle East. I thank all my patients for sticking with us through my deployment and for their well wishes! Celebrating the holidays is tough far from home but as you can see, the staff here makes the separation from family and friends bearable with a wonderful Thanksgiving feast! Just fyi, the practice is still up and running thanks to my wonderful staff and our February IVF cycle is filling up fast. Looking forward to seeing all of you next year!"
