DELILAH AND PANDORA---INSEPARABLE SISTERS! While I always love it when kittens get to go home together, I don't usually require it. But sometimes, a bonded pair... comes through and there is no way I could separate them. Such is the story of Delilah and Pandora. The girls arrived three weeks ago and they were just petrified! Delilah couldn't find a corner far enough away and Pandora shivered in fear. But that was then and now is now...the have come a long long way! Delilah is the brown tabby girl who loves curling up under Pandora and she actually suckles on her sister's tummy. NO worries...it does no harm...it's just comforting. And Pandora rolls over to have her belly rubbed...very different from just a few weeks ago. The girls are still shy and for that reason I would like to not traumatize them by taking them to the Montecito Pet Shop where dogs come and go, kids want to pet kittens and well, just a lot of noise. RESQCATS is like a spa with relaxing music, running water fountains and the soft breeze and sun coming through their window. So Pandora and Delilah are available at RESQCATS and you can meet them here...a rare opportunity to see this unique facility. The sisters have had vet exams, fecal exam and both are tested for Felv/FIV. And they have been wormed, had their first FVRCP vaccine and are spayed and micro-chipped. They prefer a quiet home with no dogs and no young children. Someone who has time, patience and love to give them as they ...and I will be there to help guide you so they have a smooth transition. JUNIPER IS READY FOR THE HOME SHE NEVER HAD! Juniper was found as a stray with six tiny kittens and turned into a high-kill shelter in San Bernadino. I save as ...many of these families as I can...and so that is how she came to be at RESQCATS. She arrived with her little family to the warmth and comfort and safety here. But one day, I heard a nasty sneeze from her and worried that she may have an upper respiratory infection. And sure enough, she did. And she passed it onto her babies who were already compromised as they were only about half the size kittens their age should be. One day, I found Juniper had separated herself from her kittens and when I touched her I knew we were in trouble. She had over 105 degree temperature. For the next five days, I medicated her with antibiotics, appetite stimulants, sub-q fluids and supplements. Luckily, her kittens were eating on their own, but as she began to recover she started nursing them again. Sadly, one by one, she lost four of her kittens to the upper respiratory infection and it was one of the worst weeks I can remember in our history. She is left with two surviving daughters who are not quite ready for adoption. But Juniper is ready to be adopted and she knows how long it sometimes takes to find someone that has an exceptional heart and will give a young mom the homes they deserve. She is fully recovered now thanks to the medical care we provided, the constant monitoring and love she has received. In addition, she is tested for Felv/FIV, vaccinated, spayed and micro-chipped. Veronica...I will find a home for you...no matter how long it takes. That being said, can we NOT wait too long! Veronica is a sweet petite girl who is the kind ...of cat that will meet you at the door. She loves being pet as you can see in previous posts and videos. Veronica is as playful as a kitten now that she doesn't have the responsibility of motherhood. I think you are just going to love this girl...she just needs one person to realize that it's not always about kittens...MOMS NEED HOMES TOO.
