How close can you apply a Retinoid ( Vitamin A ) around the eye area safely without causing too much irritation? . Not too close or you can develop retinization, massive sensitivity and redness in the eyes that makes them water and sensitive to light. With all Retinol products, less is more. . Retinol travels in the skin so when you apply it to the upper cheek bone area like I’m doing here, it will travel throughout the skin moving upward to help improve the skin directly un...der the eyes. . If you are very sensitive you can also moisturize 15 prior to Retinol application to help buffer the Retinol to help minimize sensitivity and dryness. Know that if you do this or attempt to start doing this, the eye area can look worse before it gets better which takes about three weeks to improve. Be sure to moisturizer eye area in the AM with a thick cream or hydration serum and wear additional SPF in this area. Trust yourself to back off usage if sensitivity develops. Darling, does it "really" matter when and how you apply Vitamin C to your skin? Yes gurl, yes! If you go to any profession for a facial or peel, you'll notice we spend a lot of time manipulating ingredients into the skin in order to achieve deeper penetration and absorption so we achieve noticeable results. The secret to achieving maximum results from Vitamin C is to apply it first in your regime after cleansing or exfoliating. Doing so will brighten existing pigmentation, ...but more importantly prevent future pigmentation and sun-damage, and also allow any product you apply afterwards to absorb more quickly. . Oh and gurl, if you slow down and massage the Vitamin C serum into your skin for about 15 seconds then let it fully absorb before applying your next product or SPF, oh shoot. I'm telling you that you'll see more dramatic results regardless of brand. Trust me. . If you’re blowing money on a good vitamin C serum now then chances are is has a lower PH, around 3. The lower the PH the quicker it will absorb into the the skin and help exfoliate which brightens uneven skin tone. . .
