#fridayvibes ... to those who know me and know the rocky road I had to go through to get to where I am today: Thank you for all the love support... and moreso, thank you to all the people who told me that doing hair wasn't a career for someone like me. A little background about me: This is my 2nd career, and in my world, it meant I was going against the grain and against traditional beliefs amongst those closest to me. It meant I was challenging everything I had been rai...sed to believe and every way to achieve happiness and status. I had already graduated top of my class with a Business degree that carried an emphasis in financial planning and stock analysis as well as a minor in accounting. I worked at some very prestigious finance firms and ended up as an analyst at a firm at the age of 19. I purchased my home at the age of 23. And then I was laid off. The day I was laid off was the most traumatic and unreal day to me. I was so lost. It was at that time that someone told me to just do it... after all, what's the worst that can happen.. This person inspired me to think outside of the box... and to know that if I can imagine it, I can achieve it. Here I am today, reaching heights I wasn't sure I could see, let alone touch.
