October classes resume on Tuesday, October 6th! Sign up on line. We miss you!! :-)
To better serve our students and instructors during Covid-19, we are implementing a 1.5 hour cut off registration time before class begins. Be sure to register online and plan in advance -- like Linda and Marcela :-). No WALK-IN'S at this time. Register for a one time (drop-in class fee) on line ahead of class to save your spot. Thanks for your support!
For the safety of your fellow yogi's and instructors, here are some guidelines to follow before our reopening on July 4th: If you are sick or know anyone who has contracted the Coronavirus, please stay home. Make sure you do not have symptoms of Covid-19 and have not traveled internationally or across state borders in the last 10 days. Register on line to reserve your spot. ABSOLUTELY NO WALK-INS AT THIS TIME!... Bring your own mat, water bottle and yoga props. Come to the studio with minimal belongings and dressed ready to practice. Non-slip grip socks encouraged for Aerial, regular socks for Yin if you don't want your feet on the floor. Do not enter yoga studio until Instructors give the OK sign. Adhere to the arrows outside and inside the studio - stay 6 ft. apart from each other. Sign waiver form at desk. Lay down you mat when you enter class. Wash your hands before class. Wear mask up until the time class begins. Put mask on when class ends. Disinfect personal items with cleaning solution provided at your yoga station. More to come.... :-)
We are reopening on Saturday, July 4th. We can't wait to see you again!
Out for some staples. How is everyone doing? Sprouts laid down blue tape every 6 feet at the checkout lines. Trying to shop only once a week for staples. Was finally able to buy eggs :-) Stay healthy!
If nothing else... just breathe! Stay healthy. Stay uplifted.
Dear Students: UPDATE: Shelter in Place Order. Non-essential gatherings of any size are now banned. https://www.sfchronicle.com//Bay-Area-must-shelter-in-plac For the safety of all, classes for March are now canceled. We will reopen first week of April. While remaining closed we will continue our deep sanitization of studio surfaces, props, and touchpoints. Thank you for your continued support and see you in April!! If you have any questions, email us at [email protected] or call us at 650.868.8454.
Dear Students: If you aren't feeling well, we ask that you please stay home from class for your well-being and that of your fellow students and teachers. Thank you! #keephealthy #noflyzone #mojoyogaserviceannouncement
Meet Sammy, our featured student on this beautiful Sat. morning. She came in and took Flight with Robin during #aerialplayground class at 10am. She bravely learned a new move and enjoyed #soundbowls at the end of class. Join Sammy and Robin next Sat! @ Mojo Yoga
Please join me in welcoming Summer Williams to our Mojo Yoga family! Summer will be teaching Aerial Strength, Conditioning & Flexibility every Wednesday evening at 7pm. Following a successful career as a professional acrobat in Cirque du Soleil and other circus acts worldwide, Summer is now focusing on fitness training and aerial coaching. She has coached athletes and taught a variety classes both in the USA and Australia, ranging from group fitness & aerial yoga classes, c...ircus skills and personal training. Be sure to sign up on line and learn something exciting and new in the silk! Her first class is this week. Goodbye winter - Summer is here! :-)
Spotlight on Artemis in her beautiful straddle/pigeon pose. What a way to start the New Year!! Join her on Thursdays at 5:30pm at Aerial Mixed Levels!
These simple yet effective stretches and twists help me self- adjust my spine each time. This was my short warm-up before teaching Tuesday's yin class. Yes, sometimes I do utilize the aerial in Yin (students can attest to the difference) but not always. If you want the comfort of being grounded and lifted, take Aerial Gentle. #mojoyogahmb #selfadjustment #twist #aerialyoga #stretch #yourharborsanctuary
You know that pose. The one that you don't really like but want to practice. The one that makes you hesitate or hold your breath.. The forward split is that pose for me. I tell my students to use props to fill the space and melt into the pose. I'm using 4 props. Spinal bolster on left thigh, ball on hamstring, the silk to lower myself and socks to glide. The hardest part was letting go of the hammock and putting my hands on the floor. But as I fiddled with the hammock to lift myself back up, I felt myself sink deeper in the pose and not thinking about it too much. Left side, so different. You will hear a groan at the end! #practice #justbreathe #notmyfavorite #forwardsplit #mojoyogahmb #useprops #yourharborsanctuary
Student spotlight: Meet Sandra Sweet. You'll most likely see Sandra on Saturdays at 10am taking Robin's Aerial Pilates class. Her favorite thing to do? Hang upside down! She's also a Pilates instructor. #sweet #mojoyogahmb #aerialyoga #aerialpilates #greatenergy #vibrant #dedicated #yourharborsanctuary
