Last week we received a review on Google that was so distasteful and racist that Google took the review down immediately. I’ve been going back and forth trying to decide if I should make a post about it. The review was left by a person who had never been to our salon, yet was targeting a specific tech here with personal attacks and stereotypes. We are known for being very diverse here as well as for being advocates for anti racism. We just want to let any bully or racist know that we do not tolerate this behavior at all. Coming to work today and finding a certified letter from the State of California Attorney General advising me that they are going to request a legal hearing to ...strip me of my barber license, and my Primo’s Establishment License, for staying open during the (illegal) COVID 19 shutdowns, is a cruddy way to start the week. I’m not surprised they were cowards and waited until we were allowed to be open to start the process (because now we all know we have been lied too over and over). I’m also not surprised they cited ( and are using as evidence) the City Of Vacaville(s) cease and desist letter which they ONLY generated for my shop. Discrimination as well as defamation from this City and its leaders is exactly what they were aiming for. I’m not surprised they also cited 33 emailed complaints that were mostly generated by other Barbershops and Salons who didn’t have the guts to stay open, so instead snitched on Primo’s for being open. They also cited the fact that we were given donations to fight any legal action (which I have since donated every cent and then some) which came from across the country from fellow patriots who were willing to stand by us against the TYRANNY from Governor Newsom and his cronies in the state, county, and city governments. How sad that everyone who has hated on our stance to make a living, and support our families, will somehow feel vindicated in these actions against myself and my shop. Obviously I will fight the actions against me, but I know the State, I know the political stance of California and the City of Vacaville. I’m going to exhaust every appeal and fight it, but I know I’ll lose...it’s not about winning at this point. It’s about standing your ground against tyranny and about not caving into fear! FEAR HAS RUN THIS PANDEMIC !! I will not allow fear to run me. And do you know what the State can’t take away from me??? My God given right to provide for my family. If I have to sell my shop so my barbers can continue to work, I will. I care about each one of my barbers and their families. And the clients I have supported me, I will still take care of you.
