The idea behind it was to show the band playing and with interviews on what it was like being a touring musician. This 1 hour episode is with Roomful of Blues in the first half, followed by W. C. As we head into memorial day weekend, we wanted to remember The Santa Cruz Blues Festival which was held for 22 years every memorial day weekend in Aptos Village Park. Starting in 1993, the Santa Cruz Blues Festival brought some of the most celebrated artists of the Blues world and also many of the unsung heroes. It started off as a late night idea by Bill Welch and Phil Lewis one night at Moe’s Alley. Below are the program and some photos from inaugural event.
