There are 17 days left in the Books Like Us Winter Reading Challenge. So far, Stanislaus Library readers have logged 81,581 minutes toward our goal of 300,000 minutes, or 5,000 hours. That means we've completed 27% of our community goal! Readers earn tickets for free prize drawings and the Library benefits, too! This completely digital challenge is open to readers from ages 0 to 109, and is as easy as logging your time read during the month of January.

The public and members of the Friends of the Modesto Library are invited to attend the Friends' annual meeting on Mar. 4 at 5:30 p.m. in the Modesto Library Auditorium. Featured speaker will be Modesto Bee journalist and pediatrician Dr. ChrisAnna Mink who will be speaking on the role of reading in addressing childhood trauma. Hope to see you there!
