Happy St. Patrick's day! Even though events are canceled nationwide we're still counting on the luck o' the Irish and that pot of gold! Wear your green and have a green beer--or chocolate gold coin if that's your style! Coronavirus updates: We've had customers ask about business closures and whether they would still be able to do their laundry. During the Bay Area lockdown laundry facilities have been designated as "essential services" along with pharmacies and grocer...ies. We hope this would apply statewide if closures get more widespread. Laundering is a primary tool in preventing the spread of germs--as long as it's done right. We've posted signage with tips for customers in store to prevent exposure as well as our prevention steps. We welcome you to wait outside while your loads are running to practice social distancing. If you are immunocompromised or uncomfortable coming into the store and would rather use our wash/dry/fold service we can do curbside dropoff. Park outside, call the store and the attendant can come out to you to get your order. We're keeping calm and doing our part! Quarters are actually pickled before they’re minted! It might sound strange, but the blanks used to make these coins really are pickled. They're not soaked in vinegar though, like the pickled cucumbers you get on hamburgers. Instead, these copper-nickel blanks are soaked in a special chemical solution. Two new employees started today...and we’re decked out for Christmas!

In this episode of Rainy Days at the ‘Mat we learned that Renee doesn’t like bugs real OR fake! A customer pulled their clothes out of the dryer and noticed a HUUUGE bug left in the dryer. Grossed out, we rewashed their clothes and went into pest control mode to trap and identify this scary looking thing. Surpriseit was a rubber FAKE! Of course then it became the PERFECT prank prop!!

The Beast. Is. Back! Our largest capacity machine is no longer a #giantpaperweight! After years of not working for prior owners we gave him a few days of much needed attention and he’s now doing what he’s supposed to . Got blankets, comforters, dog beds , sleeping bags, or snow gear that you’re bringing out of storage for the winter?? Bring ‘em down and put him and his brother next to him to work!

Regular customers of Fluff & Fold may have noticed some changes around the store lately. Things are being cleaned up, organized, and fixed to make your experience better. Why the changes?? Because F&F is under NEW OWNERSHIP! Check our new profile pic: we wanted to take a quick break and introduce you to Mike, Leslie, and Dakota who recently purchased the store. We’re full of fresh ideas and a strong work ethic. We’re intent on returning this laundromat to its former gl...ory as the best place to get your things cleaned in north Modesto!
