Job Duties include but not limited to: Dental Assistants are responsible for assisting the dentist in the clinical treatment of patients. This includes, preparing patients, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set instrument trays, preparing materials, and assist dentist during dental procedures. Expose dental X-rays, record treatment information in patients' digital records, provide post operative instructions prescribed by the dentist. Assist dentist in management of medical and dental emergencies. You will ensure that the highest quality clinical work standards are maintained, along with planning the overall workflow, communication, according to the practice's procedures. Meet and greet patients making them feel welcomed and relaxed. Answer the telephone in a friendly and professional manner, schedule appointments, communicate with patients regarding financial planing options, including the use of their dental benefits plans. Communicate with patients regarding their treatment plan and insurance coverage, help find the best way for the patient to finance the recommended treatment and make appropriate financial arrangements with patients. Proficient with office equipment and computer software including Microsoft Office and is able to master the dental management software and insurance claims program used by the practice. Bilingual is a plus (English & Spanish). 2 years experience preferred but not required.
