It's a fun way to become more involved with the seniors in your community, and provides multi-generational socialization opportunities for the kids and seniors.

A great Halloween treat to make and share with your seniors tomorrow, these fantastic Paleo Pumpkin Pie Squares are by @lexiborr , a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner. _____ Paleo Pumpkin Pie Squares Recipe by @lexiborr _____... Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups pumpkin purée 2 large eggs 3/4 cup coconut flour 1/2 cup pure maple syrup 1 tsp melted coconut oil 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice 1 tsp baking soda _____ Preparation: -Preheat oven to 350F. -Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir well until smooth. -Transfer to a lined 9x9 baking dish with parchment paper. -Bake for about 45 minutes and enjoy! We just want to take a moment to share someone very special to Geiss MED. Suraya's title is Executive Assistant, but she's so much more than that to our team and seniors. Much like our other staff and providers, Suraya has a HUGE heart for our seniors. In addition to genuinely loving our seniors, she is instrumental to our company. We couldn't live without her! Thank you, Suraya, for being the light in so many people's lives.

Animals bring such love and joy into so many people's lives that just being around them can be life changing. For seniors they can fill a void, bring laughter and comfort, and even perform an important job as a service animal.

On October 24, 1924, Dutch doctor and physiologist, Willem Einthoven, was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine for his 1903 invention of the first practical electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG). _____ Einthoven's original machine weighed nearly 600lbs, needed 5 people to operate it, and required water cooling for the electromagnets. A much more compact, modern and technologically-advanced version of Dr. Einthoven's invention is still used in cardiac medicine worldwide today.
