I finally did it! After many years of putting chemical in my hair, pulling and tuging, and constantly flat ironing to make my coily kinky hair straight, something to be done! I got comfortable with the state of damage my hair was in and accepted it for what it was and managed to maintain it by wearing wigs, weaves, and braids.... When I first cut off my permed ends in 2012, I mainted my mini afro occasionally but always found my self covering it up because I didn't like my look and a few of my patients thought I was a boy when I'd come to their home to provide them with caregiving services Now fast forward 5 years later, and I went all in! shaved it all off, and let me tell you, IT WAS SO LIBERATING!!! I love my semi bald head and im grateful to have inherited my mom's adorably shaped head! So here's to feeling confident and comfortable being uncomfortable! I love this woman I'm becoming! Thank you Valentine for helping me with this transition! Watch till the end to see my husband's reaction #priceless he was out of town on a business trip and I surprised him at the airport with this new look!
