Mount Madonna School's production of Ramayana to return! In lieu of a live stage production this year, scenes from the story will be filmed and Ramayana! 2021: The Movie will be available to view online (pay-per-view) and screened locally beginning in late June. MMS Ramayana's adaptation includes Shakespeare-inspired fools in Ravana's court. Ami Bharghavan plays Bonehead (with mandolin), supplies fog to a dance scene, and as Ram's brother Laksman banishes a dragon conjured from the realm of the demons.

Zoom holiday party with my 5th grade! We made snowpeople cards for our Kinder buddies, had a dance party, dressed for the occasion, played mad libs and made pap...er bobble ornaments. Once the whiteboard flew up at me in a gust of wind and I suddenly couldn’t remember how to do the proof; once the heat and dust made my feet crack so hard I co...uldn’t walk, and just yesterday my fingers turned to ice cubes and the whiteboard ink got so viscous in the cold I couldn’t erase it. Some days were just a Big Glitch. If I ever wanted proof that Teaching is a Labor of Love, 2020 delivered. I am so grateful to our parent community and our kids for showing up for us today; it meant a lot. The truth is that people envision so many things in return for what they sacrifice to send their children to school; sometimes teaching in this decade feels like catering to parent customers. Not this semester, not at this school. It is so empowering and fulfilling to Be Seen. I am so proud of our school; students, teachers, parents, admin, staff, and especially facilities, MMC... we all did this and it took all of us See more
