Adoption Success Story Thank you for sharing. We're so happy Finn has a loving furever home! From the owner:... Hi. I believe it was May of 2019 that I adopted Finn, a senior male maltese that was blind and almost completely deaf. He also had a Mitral valve prolapse. I was staying with my mom in MV carrying for her until she passed later in the year. She enjoyed Finn's company so much. January of 2020 Finn drove to MI with me. He was such a trooper. He is such a sweetheart! His heart has gotten much worse, but he seems to be hanging on quite well with his heart med and water pill. He has a girlfriend that he spends time with a couple days a week. She is a 2 year old Bichon. They are so fun to watch. I've been meaning to touch base with you to let you know how well Finn is doing. We love each other so much . Thank you for the wonderful work you all do! #MissionViejoAnimalServicesCenter #MissionViejoAnimalServices

The Mission Viejo Animal Services Center recently welcomed 11 dogs to the shelter through the Mission for Home Rescue program. The Mission for Home Rescue progr...am involves handpicking pets from overcrowded shelters and bringing them here to make them available for adoption locally. Funded exclusively through the nonprofit Dedicated Animal Welfare Group (DAWG), this program is a win-win for the animals and shelters alike. On behalf of everyone at Mission Viejo Animal Services, both staff and our furry friends would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Laguna Niguel Woman’s Club for their generous donations to our center. It’s officially kitten season! This means the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center needs experienced bottle-feeding fosters. Every year the center takes in hundreds of orphaned kittens in need of care. While many are eating on their own, there are also a large number of kittens who are without their mothers and cannot feed themselves. These adorable kittens wouldn’t make it if it weren’t for our foster families. Mission Viejo Animal Services will provide medical care, food, a...nd supplies for all foster parents. All you have to do is provide your unconditional love, care and dedication to feeding the babies. Bottle fed babies require feedings every few hours until they are able to eat on their own. If you are an experienced bottle feeder, please fill out a foster application: https://bit.ly/3b4diqK Want to help but can’t foster? You can help support Mission Viejo Animal Services by donating supplies. The center needs chicken baby food, canned pumpkin, electrical heating pads (non-automatic shutoff), kitten baby bottles, breeders’ edge feline milk replacer, and baby blankets. Donations can be dropped off at the main gate Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm. For more information call 949-470-3045 and press 0.
