The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education. -MLK

We wanted to share this quick story. Remember Mrs. Lewis from Winston Churchill (if not see Monday's post)? Well she and her daughter, Everly, have been coming to Mission Springs with the school every year since Everly was 2. Since they couldn't come with the school this year, they decided to make a weekend trip to Mission Springs and relive some of the traditions that their family does with MSOE. We thought this was such a good idea, we (and Mrs. Lewis) wanted to encourage o...ther families to make the trip too! The redwoods are still here, the banana slugs are still making slime trails through the forest, and there are still beautiful eco-systems for you to explore! Mrs. Lewis and her family say, "Mission Springs is the best vacation we have every year!" Book a stay here! www.missionsprings.com/refresh
Ever thought about saying, "I do" here at Mission Springs? We can provide you with a beautiful space to host a socially distanced outdoor venue for your ceremony. Check out venue options and get in touch with us: https://www.missionsprings.com/guest-group/weddings/

This Hispanic Heritage Month we want to highlight an amazing Mexican-American interpreter at Rancho del Oso! Meet Interpretive Park Aide Michelle Garcia! She ha...s been an outdoor educator for two years, working with California State Parks and other outdoor agencies. She loves being outside and introducing new visitors to the parks’ natural beauty. Please join her or one of our other wonderful Latina interpreters Thursday, October 15 at 3PM for a Facebook Premiere on Seacliff State Beach's page to learn more about their stories and view Hispanic Access Foundation’s short film, #IAmCheo. You’ll be as inspired as Michelle to protect our environment and fight climate change after watching! #HispanicHeritageMonth #LatinxHeritageMonth See more
