Today it must be said...can you imagine the Mission without MLVS? Out of this building we are providing the mission food hub serving 7000 food boxes a week, the essential service hub is serving 400 disconnected people a week and we are providing COVID-19 testing to 500. Today Kaiser is visiting. When MLVS was struggling they came in and invested $500,000 in the building. Without them we may have not been able to survive the attempted building takeover. Thank you Kaiser Permanente Thrive this was such a needed investment! Where would the city’s Latino COVID-19 response be without your support!!! Mil gracias...thank you for your faith in community!!

Today we remember Rosario Anaya and the amazing legacy she left for community. In this building that she left behind for us we are serving over 1800 a day on food distribution days, 200 a day on essential service hub days, 500 on covid testing days and today we did a training with our youth. We fought hard to carry out your vision and we have made MLVS stronger then ever before allowing us to be stronger in serving community. We rise in your honor! #missioncityhall #unidosensalud

We are beyond excited to feature these outstanding MLVS Graduates. They concluded the MLVS Medical Assistant Program, which is designed to integrate community-based learning for essential workers. Covid-19 has disproportionately impacted immigrants and communities of color. MLVS plays a vital role in empowering youth and adults to join the health sector. We had a great night last! Thank you to Mayor Breed, Assemblyman Chiu, Supervisors Ronen, Safai, Chair of the Democratic Central Committee David Campos, Commissioner Shamann Walton,and our wonderful MC Miguel Bustos! We congratulate award recipients Roberto Hernandez for his Mayor of the Missionaward, and Dr. Estela Garcia with the first ever Rosario Anaya Legacy award.
