Holiday thanks to all the school families, PTO and MBS School for helping us treat the faculty and staff this Merry Christmas Season!!! With the delicious fresh-baked cookies of FKN Bread, Swallow tin ornaments from Las catrinas sjc, and generous gift cards for Target and Amazon, we hope everyone felt the holiday spirit. Thanks to our families, donations exceeded $5,000 and we were able to give $155 Amazon cards out, plus target gift cards from MBS. The PTO Serenade Gala is supporting a free dress pass fundraiser with proceeds going to our 8th grade class to help with their graduation costs. The cost for the free dress pass is $25 and it will take place on December 1st or 2nd (your child's NON PE day). See the attached image for more details.

The Mission School PTO is sponsoring a virtual pumpkin decorating contest. Submissions are due by Monday, October 26. There will be winners in different categories. See the attached flyer for instructions on how to submit your entry and for more details. Email [email protected] with your two pictures. Remember that your student needs to be in a school uniform of choice, and nothing too spooky. Students will vote in class with their teachers.

This week, please check your student's backpack for the Serenade Gala 2020 Invitation and the procurement packet with the following documents inside. Yearbook Distribution (Limited Pick Up!) Tuesday (today) 12:00-2:00 Wednesday (7.1) 10:00-12:00 Simply drive into the school parking lot and remain in your car. Good news! Yearbook signing IS NOT cancelled! Mission Basilica School Parents and Students: Yearbook Signing: SOCIALLY DISTANCED EDITION... We are excited to announce that the Mission Basilica School yearbook signing tradition is alive and it’s fully digital to suit our socially distanced students. Jostens has just launched a new platform, Yearbook Digital Signing Pages, that gives every student in our school the chance to create virtual signing pages, invite their friends to leave messages, and print out the final pages to keep with the yearbook as a permanent keepsake.This is free for every student whether they purchased a yearbook or not. Register an account for your student at http://yearbooksigning.jostens.com/ Please note... -Only one email account may be used to register 1 child. If you have more than one child, you must use a separate email for each registration. -You will create your own deadline of completion, ideally no longer than 30 days. But you can edit the signing end date upon login. -Don't forget to save the TinyURL web address that you are provided. Share with your class on Shutterfly. You can always log back in and copy your link any time.This TinyURL may be shared with family and friends outside the school. -Once your signing pages end date arrives, you will be able to download the signed pages and print them out to add to your child's yearbook.

We are creating a Business Directory of our MBS and Knights of Columbus Family-Owned businesses. The directory will be available on one of our school web pages and we hope to develop/expand it further in time. I plan to update it weekly as the submissions come in. This directory is for MBS Families and the Knights of Columbus (KOC) to network and support our own businesses. All business submissions will be verified for currently enrolled MBS family owned status or current Mission Basilica Knights of Columbus owned status to remain eligible. Please use it as a way to support our businesses. All businesses submitted should be by the business owner.
