We are so so excited for another Bakersfield College JobSpot/HireUp group! The Third Co hort begins on Jan 19th. We have 9 men and 4 women enrolled. It will be an 8 week course. Through the first 2 cohorts in 2020 we had 33 residents complete the Course!!! With many receiving good well paying jobs, giving them a bright future. We anticipate more success for them and for The 13 new students. Thank you for your continued support and prayers.

We are no longer having Farmers to Families food distribution. If you are still in need of a meal, we will be serving three meals a day everyday in our dining hall. Also, It is a tradition here at The Mission at Kern County to host a Thanksgiving Community Meal on Thanksgiving day. All are welcome!

The Holiday season is here! One of our Christmas traditions is to provide a gift to all our guests on Christmas Eve. We are now collecting wrapped and unwrapped shoeboxes through December 18th.
