Planning outfits for family photos can be a big source of stress, but please know I am here to help! I often recommend for mom to pick her outfit first. Make sure it’s something you feel fabulous and comfortable in - lack of confidence or discomfort can really show through in your images. Don’t forget to keep clothing weather appropriate for the season - smiles aren’t as natural when you’re freezing! If you have a picky family member select their outfit next, something th...at complements mom’s outfit and doesn’t compete or clash. Finish selecting the rest of the family’s outfits, mixing up complementary colors and not being afraid to choose textures and layers for style. Don’t forget the details hair accessories, vests, belts, shoes and jewelry can all make a big impact - or be a distraction - so choose with intention. Rememberthe goal is to have a cohesive blend of each individual’s unique style. I often find it helpful to lay everything out on the floor and take a picture from above to make sure you like how everything comes together. This weekend we celebrated our youngest becoming a teenager and boy did my heart break a bit realizing how quickly these past 13 years flew by. Hello friends! Boy 2020 is turning out to be quite unexpected, am I right?! With this beautiful sunshine, green hills and blooming flowers I would love nothing more than to be out shooting high school seniors right now. Unfortunately, due to the state's SIP order and photography being deemed non-essential, I'm unable to conduct photo sessions for the time being, but oh how I look forward to seeing your smiling faces and capturing your memories and families again soon!...
