For the past year, I've been working with Evin Ollinger, co-founding a company called Golden. Our goal: to bring a software solution to the challenge of financial caregiving. We are humbled and honored to be named winners of the recently held AARP Innovate@50+ Pitch Contest! 400 entrants from across the country, 20 finalists and 2 judges' choice winners: 1 in the fintech space (Golden) and 1 in the healthcare space (GoGo Grandparent). Heading home after an amazing, energizing course. First day spent reviewing skills for working with people living with dementia and their care partners. Second day was chock full of information on adult learning styles. Now the real work begins: studying with my mentor, crafting and scheduling my first workshops so that I can meet the requirements for certification.

Start of day 2 Positive Approach to Care Trainer Certification with Teepa Snow. My brain is already bursting with new skills and insights.
