Well, when we said each week as of late has presented a new challenge, we didn’t think this would soon be one of them. But alasdue to air quality, in our effort to keep you and our team safe and healthy, we have closed our outdoor dining for the time being. Luckily, our food travels well! So, if you’re in a position to order take-out, we’d love your support! Or, support another small business tonightwe’d love that, too! If you know an evacuated family or exhausted firefighter that needs a meal, please dm us. We are happy to help. On this week’s menu: decadent @snakeriverfarms bone-in beef ribcooked low and slow, and finished on the robata grill for a touch of char. Served with zesty-spicy calmansi-kosh, grilled & pickled scallions, and cabbage slaw. This dish is rich, packed with flavor, and great to share! Come dine outside or order for pick-up.

TBT to a bit of a more ‘normal’ timethese days we’re mask-clad, doing what we gotta do to keep our families, team, and community safe and healthy! As you’ve likely heard, our dining room is closed until further notice for dine-in service. We are still rocking a fantastic take-out program, including food and house-canned cocktails, *and* we have a handful of tables available for dining outside. It was great to see many of you in our dining room recently, and we can’t wait to get back there. Pick up something light this weekend to offset all that delicious BBQ! Our chirashi-don has a selection of three sashimi with tsukemono (pickled vegetables), ikura (cured salmon roe), and noriif you want to make hand rollsall over seasoned sushi rice. Grab a canned cocktail or chilled sake, and call it a lovely night! Take-out & dine-in service is available Thursday-Sunday nights. Don’t want to come in? Give us a call, we’ll carry your order to your car! Coming in? Don’t forget your mask! Stay safe and healthy, friends.

On tonight’s menu: karaage-don Steamed rice bowl with brined and fried chicken thighs, avocado, ponzu, tsukemono [house-pickled vegetables], egg yolk, and spicy mayo. Available in-house or for pick-up through our online ordering system! We currently have a couple tables available outside. If that’s your preference, give us a call!

It’s Friday, and we’re ready for okonomiyaki with duck confit and a chilled glass of Aizu Chushou Tokubetsu Honjozo! ‘Okonomiyaki’ () translates literally to what you’d like, grilled, and is most commonly found in Osaka and Hiroshima. As the name suggests, there are many different renditions of this savory, street food-style pancake found throughout Japan. Even within one street market, you can find the dish made with different ingredients, each with a unique family-r...ecipe spin. Ours is currently made in an Osaka-style, in which cabbage, kimchi, and duck confit are combined into a dashi-pancake batter, and grilled on the teppanyaki (flat top grill). The dish is topped with katsu sauce and our house-mayo, a flutter of katsuobushi (cured, dried and smoked bonito), and toasted nori. An ice cold beer or glass of Champagne would also be a delightful pairing. Okonomiyaki and the rest of our dinner menu is available via online ordering for take-out, and we’re open for dine-in service (current hours in bio). Summer sun = corn season, meaning corn fritters and binchotan-grilled corn are BACK! Our current hours are Thursday Sunday, 5:30 9pm. Friends. Tomorrow we re-open our doors. We are ready to once again be a place of community, comfort, warm hospitality, and great foodall with spacing, safety, and cleanliness in mind.
