As pride month continues, we want to highlight Dominique Tutwiler of @oaksmithfurniture, a talented woodworker who came to speak at our annual conference this year on what it means to be a black, queer business owner. You should def give them a follow and check out the amazing custom furniture they create. This whole panel was but we love what Dominique has to say about outsiders paying a premium for work made by and for a specific community. What do you all think? How do we see this in businesses today and what can we do to make this a more normalized idea? If you wanna hear more from Dominique, the rest of this hour-long panel can be found on our Youtube!

THANK YOU COMMUNITY!!! For all of your support, love, and for fuel that fires the work that we do. We surveyed community members on what they wanted to see during the 2020-2021 school year and we were able to transform that into an archive of knowledge. Go check out our YouTube channel and watch some of the gems for our events this past year. We will be posting snippets and conversation starters for you to lead others in community about these topics. How can we reimagine our future? How do we step into our power and purpose? Design a roadmap? How do we Actualize* the theory and rhetoric into mobilizing action? Check us out here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpKfJAFipP2xDuPJ4bbERzg
