Milan Coach Builders Milan Boyanich designed and manufactured both the Auburn Speedster Replica and the Milan Roadster Convertible as completed automobiles and kit cars, a replica of the legendary 1936 Auburn Speedster. The Auburn was constructed out of fiberglass using Ford running gear. Milan’s Facility produced approximately 300 Auburn Speedsters. The Auburn Speedster was built using Ford running gear and modified galaxy frame. In addition a substantial part of the busines...s consisted of converting hard top cars into completed convertibles, (convertible conversions), along with the sale and manufacturing of convertible kits. Milan Boyanich was well known for the conversion of the Cadillac Seville into a two-door roadster convertible referred to as the Milan Roadster convertible. He manufactured approximately 400 Milan Roadster’s. Designed and sold as kits, convertible tops for the Lexus Coupe, Ford Mustang, Fiero, and Jaguar. Mechanically engineered/designed convertible top mechanism(s). Milan Boyanich used the American luxury found in the Cadillac Seville, combined with European styling to design a car that would compete with the Mercedes 450SL. Beginning with an original Cadillac Seville, Milan Boyanich removed the rear doors, cut the car in half and shortened the wheel base 18 inches. The end result is a two passenger soft-top convertible with maneuverability and responsiveness never before available in a car of its class. Supervised sales crew to handle massive advertising and mailing campaigns. Sold cars to several celebrities. Leased cars to movie studios for filming of car(s) in movies. Performed hands-on design of tooling, frame, and running gear.
