Parents! Your kids are invited to Mid City's virtual VBS: Compassion Camp: Be Kind. Be Loved. Be You. We'll be exploring what it means to have compassion for others, ourselves, and the world. It is geared toward preschool-age children and K-5th graders, and it is incredibly flexible, adaptable, and fun for the entire family, older siblings included. You don't have to live in San Diego or attend Mid City to join us for Compassion Camp. Feel free to invite your friends and cou...sins! Our kick-off date is July 20. The gospel of God's love is the only transforming answer to the challenges we face. People's hearts are what need to change. Christians should be at the front lines of this spiritual battle for the soul and future of our nation.

We are eager to say hello and see each other, however it is important to note that while we were not able to meet in this building, God’s work did not stop, His love was not on hold and the works of mercy were not set aside. This place is important, but it is people’s hearts that make it special and though for us church goers it is important to go to church on Sundays, peoples safety, health and heart are more important. Let us take time to heal, let us take time to make decisions not from a political stance but for the safety of those that attend church and those that don't. As churches make decisions on moving forward may we put the love for our neighbor first, may we be gentle.

We pray that our children grow to be strong, independent and kind. We pray that they look out for their neighbor and learn to appreciate their neighbors uniqueness. We pray that they are gentle to the earth and to themselves. Lord this is our prayer.

We miss this closeness. Our participants and volunteers have had to adjust to a new-normal. However, we still enjoy being able to serve. If you would like to volunteer with us email us at [email protected] Photo circa 2019

Remember to take a breath and sit still for a moment to be able to listen. "For it is you who light my lamp; the Lord my God lightens my darkness." Psalm 18:28
