The musgum, an ethnic group in far north province in cameroon, created their homes from compressed sun-dried mud. the... tall conical dwellings, in the shape of a shell (artillery), featured geometric raised patterns. A characteristic settlement form is the compound, a cluster of units linked by walls.The domed huts of the musgum people are built in shaped mud, a variant of cob. cob building is the most widely used technique in the world, since no tools are needed hands, earth and water are enough.

La Fermette Marbeuf, a famous restaurant in Paris, France; originally created around 1898-1900 as the dining room of Hôtel Langham, then covered up when the style had become unfashionable. It was rediscovered by accident in 1978 and then restored to life. The restaurant's Belle Époque Art Nouveau "1900 Room" (Salle 1900) was created by architect Émile Hurtré, craft painters Hubert and Martineau and ceramicist Jules Wielhorski. In 1983 it was classified as a historic monument, particularly due to its magnificent skylight roof.
