MH Sleds

Mike & I wanted to update everyone on what is going on at MH Sleds. Our sled fabricator has shut down their operations. We have a potential new fabricator here in California, but being realistic, we do not think we will be able to do a sled run until Spring or Summer 2021. Since we are in Southern California, COVID restrictions have hit businesses and manufacturing really hard. That said, we still have some sleds available, shipping out of Idaho. Once these are gone, we will ...not have any available, even locally, until we do a new run. You can go to mhsleds.com and click on the link to purchase what we have left. At this time I would not recommend coming up for snowplay. Since the Governor’s issue of stay at home order. We do NOT recommending anyone to come up at thi...s time. We are all in this together let’s hope we can flatten the curve and get back to our normal life SOON. Mike

2/14/20 Happy Valentine Day The weather is spectacular here. Blue sky, light winds and the temperature is in the mid 40's. All the open roads are open and cl...ear with NO tire chain required. So this is a GREAT weekend to throw the kids in the car and come on up for a FUN family day in the snow in your National Forest/Monument. We got about 4 of snow last night. There are chain controls before Mountain High East. It is also very windy in the higher elevations. So chains will be required to get to any snowplay today. Drive safely.

2/7/20 I just checked an we still have plenty of snow for snow play. The snow is a bit hard but you will still have lots of fun with your family. Roads are ope...n no tire chain requirement weather is clear with light wind and about 40 deg. There is a weather change coming on Sunday maybe more snow so the conditions may change on Sunday. 1/31/20 Good Morning It is a beautiful morning clear sky light wind and the the temperature is in the mid 40's. There is very little traffic and lots of parkin...g areas. This snow is still GREAT with very good conditions. These pictures I just took this morning. Stop by Mountain Hardware 1390 Hwy 2 in Wrightwood and pick up a snow play map and receive the most current info on the conditions. Mike

1/24/20 Good morning Yes we still have lots of snow in the snow play areas. All roads that are open are free of snow so NO tire chains are required. The weather... is blue sky in the high 40's. This is the time to come up as the weather will be good all weekend and there should not be a lot of traffic. So stop by Mountain Hardware and we can give you the most current conditions and give you a map to find the public snow play areas. Mike

It’s pickup snow play trash again this week. We have to mention it’s not that bad with sled trash it’s mostly just trash. Mike Jennings from Fenner Camp has b...een out and picked up 60 bags of trash. Charlie Parsons from Mt Kare Organization Camp also picked up trash below Mtn High West today also. 1/18/20 Good morning It is a beautiful day. Clear sky, temps in mid thirty's and light winds. All open roads are clear with NO tire chain requirements. The o...nly problem I anticipate today will be some traffic. So try to arrive early and if you leave early you can avoid most of the traffic. Stop and we can give you the the most current snow play conditions. Please only snow play in approved areas and please pick up your trash. If you need some where to dump the trash there are dumpsters along the roads or you bring bagged trash to Mountain Hardware and we will dispose of it for you. 1/10/20 1pm We still have GREAT snow. The roads that are open are open with NO tire chain requirements. Tomorrow should be blue sky light wind with temperature... mid 20 to the 50's My suggestion is to come early plan to arrive in town by about 9am and then leave by about 2 pm. By doing this you will miss most of the traffic. Please stop by Mountain Hardware 1390 Hwy2 Wrightwood, Ca. 92397 and be can give you the most current conditions. Hope you have fun Mike
