Greg Send - Off Event & All Class Alumni Reunion, 6/3: After 13 years, Greg won't be on staff next year - transitioning to help other schools around Oakland... To mark his transition, we will have a celebration and story-sharing "send-off" session on the evening of Friday, June 3rd, just before our annual alumni reunion. All current and former staff as well as MetWest alumni are invited. I'd love to see any/all of you who can make it! Here are the details:... Date: Friday, June 3rd Location: OUSD Board Committee room across from KDOL, upstairs and down the hall from the main MetWest entrance. Times: 5:30 buffet dinner served 6:00 Greg-send-off story/thought share 7:00 alumni reunion festivities! Party with alumni till 9!

The festival is this Sunday, 3/20/2016. The best station/school receives a cash prize to help their school. METWEST CLASS OF 2015 COLLEGE WRITE-IN NIGHT FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9 5:00pm - Midnight... We invite you to join our annual College Personal Statement "Write-In" Night MetWest High School's Seniors all have unique and impressive stories to tell about overcoming obstacles, completing internships and real-world projects, and making social change happen during their teenage years. These are the stories that will make them stand out in their college application process - but only if their stories are well-told. On Friday 10/9 you can come help them tell their stories. This is an incredible event where you can work closely with one or more students to develop their college personal statement. The school transforms into a festive writing laboratory with powerful conversations, laughter, and deep reflective thinking. It promises to be nothing less than inspiring! Free Dinner, Coffee, and Refreshments will be served. Don't worry, you don't have to come for the whole time! Just RSVP by emailing [email protected].
