Grubhub, Restaurant Connection, Postmates, and other delivery services take an upward of up to 33% commission from the restaurant’s original order price. They then resell the order to you, the customer, for an exorbitant rate whilst still undercutting the restaurant. An example from Grubhub is pictured above. Grubhub will take a $9.99 pizza and resell this pizza to you, when it’s all said and done, for $19.01 and then only give us the restaurant $6.67 out of that entire order charge. Under the guise of helping restaurants survive they offer you delivery, but it is actually detrimental to restaurants and small businesses. Do not support this. We are currently negotiating with a new company, baggit.app, which will be doing commission free delivery for businesses.

Every month we host a pizza party to celebrate the birthdays of our friends at Alpha Resource Center whose birthdays are during that month. We were so happy with yesterday’s event and even more excited to see everyone from Alpha Resource Center coming out again next month!

To all who have been affected by this disaster and are in need of a meal we will be providing hot pizza slices at the Santa Barbara City College Red Cross shelter. Thank you to all our first responders and emergency personnel who are out there saving lives and protecting our community.
