Friends, dad and I have been blown away by the outpouring of love and interest our recent announcement about closing Merlich Art Glass has generated. Thank you all so, so much! Truth be told, however, I'm having a bit of trouble keeping up with all your posts, questions, etc. What a wonderful problem to have! That being said, if you've PM'd or commented on a piece and I've not gotten back to you yet, please ping me again....I'm struggling with Facebook right now as some of you are commenting on dad's page, some on our studio page, and some on my page, and I'm concerned I may not be seeing all your inquiries. Thank you all for your patience as we worked to get everything set up for our final week and Saturday's upcoming reception! Movers came on Friday, and now all that's left is the artwork that is on sale for 50% off. The studio is cleaned up and the art is on display so please feel free to come by between now and Saturday. Dad should be there most afternoons, but you're welcome to call if you're coming by and want to make sure he's there...805-766-2213. And don't forget about the party on Saturday from 1-5 pm!

Dear Friends, We have news.the time has come for us to close our doors at Merlich Art Glass. It has been such an honor and a joy to be a part of Ventura’s vibrant art culture, and we are so very grateful for all of you who have shared this journey with us. Beglar Chief Merlich (or as I call him, Dad) will pass the baton to his apprentice extraordinaire Sarah Canfield in January, 2019. Sarah began studying with Chief 15 years ago, worked as his assistant teacher for 6 yea...rs, and has spent the last 3 years working with him in the studio, learning the ropes of running a successful art studio. Sarah will continue the tradition at her new studio in Thousand Oaks, making beautiful works of art and teaching students about this wonderful art form. Dad will join Sarah in her new space as the creative spirit moves him! To celebrate the good times we’ve had at the Bell Arts Factory and to give dad and Sarah a proper sendoff, we’re having a party and you’re all invited! We are hosting a reception on Saturday, January 12, from 1:00 to 5:00 pm, and would love to see you! Please stop by and say hello, have a bit of cake, and let us introduce you to Sarahwe know you’ll love her as much as we do! Here are the details: What: A party! Woohoo!
