Strive to get 1% better in the gym every week, that will be a 52% increase in your overall skills every year! Imagine what that really means... I am not talking about increasing the amount of weight you can lift, but the action and actual lifting/training. Increasing your amount of weight is matter of time, nutrition, and drive... the ability to train better, smarter, and cleaner is a whole different beast. Perfection is unrealistic, but greatness is attainable... make a plan, own the plan, plan for the plan to change. We have decided to call 2020 The Year of The Rock! What's your plan for the year?

Greatness is defined in many ways, and can have levels to it. For me as a 51 year old father of a toddler, greatness is being able to run and play with him as much as he wants (and let me tell you... its a lot!). Another level of greatness for me, is liking what I see in the mirror... not always an easy task to accomplish, it is a daily battle. What is your greatness? What is keeping you from it? I know, there will be some smart or sarcastic answers... but I also hope for some real genuine replies. Life is too short to always be looking to "check" people, or make someone else look less-then. Wishing all of you a safe, healthy, and happy New Years Eve!

So often we spend weeks and months talking about our need to get back into shape... more often not we talk ourselves into believing that we are too far gone, or we need to do something major (21 day fast, Keto, etc). The reality is that wherever you are in your fitness did not happen in a week, two, or even 10 weeks. Find a smart, evolving fitness program where you can see tangible results. Set up a eating style that you can sustain for the long haul... Please understand this...: you will eat pizza, drink a beer (or three), eat cake or ice cream! None of the above mentioned will destroy your eating plan or long term goals! You spiking your cortisol levels by stressing yourself out and tricking your body into high alert stress mode will deeply hamper your goals.
