COVID-19 and its variants are still around. That’s why it’s important to take steps that are proven to protect. Get tested before and after traveling and gathering, mask up in public indoor spaces, and stay home when feeling sick to keep yourself and your loved ones safer.
The CA COVID-19 Rent Relief Program is still open and taking applications! If COVID has affected your ability to pay rent, submit your competed application by March 31, 2022, and you could qualify for tenant eviction protections. Learn more at HousingIsKey.com. United Ways of California
COVID-19 variants are strong, but California is stronger when we #GetVaccinated. Let’s all do what we need to do to keep each other safer. If you haven’t been fully vaccinated, It’s more important than ever for you to make an appointment today. If you’ve been partially vaccinated, follow up about your next dose. If you have a loved one who hasn’t gotten their vaccine, encourage them to schedule an appointment or find a walk-in clinic. We can do this if we just remember that #VaccinesSaveLives.
Are you at risk of eviction due to unpaid rent? The CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program can help eligible renters impacted by COVID-19. Visit HousingIsKey.com or call 833-430-2122 to check your eligibility and apply to receive financial assistance to cover your rent and utilities. Joe’s MEND story started over 10 years ago when he was referred to our services by his rehabilitation center. Having lost his family, a place to live, and his job, Joe was in search for a fresh start at life. He was grateful that MEND was there to provide him weekly groceries and clothing assistance. Joe shares, And for all that MEND has done for me, I take my shirt off my back for this place and the staff and volunteers who have become my family. We are grateful that Joe has dedicated countless hours volunteering to help others facing similar situations to his. #MENDPoverty #50StoriesofMEND #50YearsofMEND #Donate #Foodbank #PeopleHelpingPeople
