In our classes we never push anyone to spar too early. We focus on technique first and foremost. These two young ladies in our kids class (both white belts) have been training under a year and are just two of our many kids who have gained confidence quickly by focusing on technique. This is their first time technical sparing and after an hour and a half of hard grappling rounds and then kickboxing class, they still wanted to because they believe in their basics. This is what first time sparing should look like.
