Rosland Road Fire - The left side of this road is untreated, while the right side was treated with commercial thinning & prescribed fire 3 years ago. The crown fire spotted from the left side into the treated area, dropped from the canopy and decreased in intensity.

Stewardship initiatives are a large portion of the Mule Deer Foundation conservation mission, but it is often hard to explain the size and scope of these projec...ts. The Burnt Beaver project in Utah is one of the many Stewardship inititatves in process this year. September kicks of Stewardship Month, and we'll feature a series of video's that highlight the Burn Beaver project indepth, explaining the need, the partnerships, and the process that Mule Deer Foundation and it's partners like the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management undergo on all of our Stewardship projects across the mule deer range.
