Did you knowWhile library powers were voted upon and approved by McKinleyville Voters in 1995, the construction of the McKinleyville Library was not complete until 1997. The Friends of the McKinleyville Library was instrumental in finding funds to assist in bringing this new library to fruition in collaboration with MCSD.

On January 6, 2021 at the regular meeting of the MCSD Board of Directors, the Humboldt Skatepark Collective, on behalf of the BMX Community, will be seeking approval of a Right of Entry & Design Agreement for a BMX track in McKinleyville, on the currently undeveloped MCSD property at School Rd. and Washington Ave. If approved MCSD will apply for funding to construct the park from the Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program. The grant application is due in March and in preparation for the application, we are seeking public input. The BMX Community and MCSD will be hosting a series of Zoom meetings to gather input.
