Just want to give fellow dog owners a heads up that we found two chocolate cupcakes with three pennies surrounded by them. This is the same M.O of the person wh...o is responsible for poisoning dogs in Twin Peaks. The pennies are very harmful if not fatal to dogs because they contain Zinc. We found these near the end of the trail by the community garden this morning. Please watch your dog as the person has not been caught. Thank you!! See more

McKinley Square Hillside Restoration awarded $38000 grant Just announced from SF Park & Recreation, McKinley Square Hillside Restoration has been awarded $38000 grant. This is toward the native plantings,drinking fountain, and hillside trails. This is great news. This will help a great deal with the efforts we are making at McKinley Square. ... Thank you to the many members of the community that helped with this. Tom, Jean & Marjorie for staying up some late hours and helping on the editing of the grant (82 pages!), and thank you Consuelo & Joseph on doing the engineering specifications and architecture drawings! Thank you Serena for getting community signatures! And thanks to Park & Recreation for signing off and helping make this one step closer to reality. Now its up to us to take the next steps to complete this part. Thank you! This was a great job by everyone involved! And thank you community members who make almost every restoration day!
