Dino Summer Camp was a great sucess! The children all learned a lot and HAD FUN too! Here is a peek at some of the activites and fun had at MCH.
Concentration is the cornerstone of learning. Within the Montessori classroom, the ability to concentrate is nurtured by providing children with the time and space needed to work without interruption. The Montessori work cycle provides children with almost unlimited time to complete a cycle of activity and provides rich opportunities to maximize sensitive periods for learning. The value of concentration extends beyond the classroom. It is essential for all learning not just in academics. Such as a new instrument, sport, or even a professional trade. Concentration is vital. In our noisy, busy world, the ability to focus on a task will be priceless.

Thank you Michael Mick for your kind words and appreciation! Thank you to all the parents that continue to trust us with your children. We love our community.
Over the weekend I had an opportunity to speak with a few parents of former students. They were each discussing their child's experience at Montessori’s Children’s House and how grateful they were for their time with us. It was wonderful to hear their positive feedback and fond memories of their years at Montessori Children’s House. One of the moms wistfully said, There is something about a Montessori child." Her words were genuine and so true. There really IS something about a Montessori child.
Montessori’s phrase follow the child does not mean you let the child do whatever the child wants. Rather, it is an acknowledgment that the child has their own pattern. The key to understanding this idea is observation. As Montessori guides, we constantly observe the child in the classroom. We pay careful attention to their interests and the activities to which they are naturally drawn, and we monitor their understanding and development of skills. We then use this level of ability as our guide.
